THE LAKE HOUSE: A FAMILY STORY
This is a heartwarming, heartbreaking true story about a place that has meant so much to me throughout my life. Follow me on a nostalgic journey as I relive some of the many moments that transformed this ordinary house on a lake into a place of dreams.

This soul searching piece of writing explores the topic of family, love, tradition, and the sentimental attachment to physical items (or places) we have. It is a story spanning over 30 years of time, speaking on the unexpected changes that come around in life, and the emotions that lead to a thoughtful acceptance of these changes.
Though tearful in the end, this story is truly a happy one. Even though this fairy tale I was fortunate to experience in my lifetime didn't have the ending I expected, I would relive it over and over again if I could. Sometimes tears are the price of great happiness.
TIM & I : PART 1 - THE BIG LEAP
I’ve previously strayed from acknowledging being gay in my online presence for reasons I’ve finally outgrown. Not only am I gay, I’m ecstatically married to the most wonderful human being that I’ve been lucky to know for almost 13 years! With that said, here is the beginning of an unexpected journey that lead me to Tim 😊
Part 1 : "The Big Leap" Suppressed inner thoughts & feelings come to light in this first part of the series. The opportunity for a spontaneous blind date with a gay man leads to a struggle of conscience, culminating into a thoughtful soul searching questioning of personal & religious beliefs surrounding the topic of being gay.

Tim & I were about to move in together & it was time to tell my grandma that I was gay. This third part of the series explores the personal worries and emotions leading up to coming out, and the reactions of those whom we confide in.
Coming out, I'm sure rarely goes as we plan it in our minds. The same can be said about my personal experience, but in the end, it was an unexpected twist that I am grateful for because it was a helping hand I didn't know was there to make it easier :)
